Workshops
These sample programs provide you with a good understanding of what to expect from a Summit program. Upon confirmation of your booking we will provide you with an exact copy of your program schedule based on your student numbers.
Workshops and teaching models are available to be presented by Mark Dobson or other qualified staff on The Summit team. Our models provide simple and effective strategies aimed to support students as they progress through the program.
Target, Stretch, Super-stretch.

At the Summit we are always talking about setting targets for yourself, so that you can discover what you are capable of. Setting three goals: Target, Stretch, Super-stretch means that if you have early success you are mentally ready to find out just how much you can achieve!
Stop, Maybe, Go!
When we get scared our brains can do all sorts of crazy things. The Summit is about helping people understand how their thoughts impact their lives. This interesting and effective model is so simple it can be applied straight away often with good success.
GAS
GAS stands for "Have a Go" "You have Ability" "People need Support". We elaborate on these points to show students that this powerful strategy can create new culture within the group.
Goal Setting
Most people don't realise that goal setting is a skill, just like reading or riding a bike. Mark Dobson and The Summit have developed an incredible interactive DVD which is a fantastic way to have students fully engage in thinking about their future and how to achieve their goals.

Confidence & Esteem
This entertaining workshop takes a look at What Makes and Breaks UsTM. Students explore a few fundamental tools to build confidence and esteem over a period of time. They learn to acknowledge that no mood lasts forever, we just need ways to cope during tough times.
Best Day ThinkingTM
We hear that we are supposed to ‘believe in ourselves', ‘be positive' and ‘don't worry about those things', but HOW do we do that? The Best Day Thinking model is a very
simple and basic tool for knowing how to take control of your thoughts at crucial moments. Developed by Mark Dobson, this method of mental focus has been used by a host of international level athletes and household names.
Building Cultures of Success
It's often only from the outside that we can see how a group holds itself back. This session holds a virtual mirror to any group and provokes an awareness of what must happen next for the group to achieve their goals.
Motivation
The great misconception about motivation is that it lasts all the time. Therefore if

students feel lazy, they conclude they are not motivated. However, motivation is like a recipe that requires set ingredients added at just the right time. This session explores the components of motivation and how to be effective at the time we feel empowered.
Strategic Study
An entertaining collection of strategic study skills that were originally developed for Bard University in New York City but have since been adapted to an experiential model for The Summit.
Back Off Bully (Mark Dobson)
Strategies from Mark Dobson's best selling book ‘Back Off Bully' are taught in a combination of games and worksheets adapted to all ages. Whether it is about being picked on at school, hassled on a train or feeling unsafe at home, this workshop prepares young people to know how to walk taller and manage tough situations.
