WHY do we teach students about a "growth mindset?

"Thanks so much Summit camp I loved the camp. You have really showed me not to ever give up even though my knee was bad I still did all I could and pushed my self out the my comfort zone. What really stretched me was the wombat tunnel, I have a big a phobia of tight spaces. I loved the monster challenge, I was so surprise dthat my team won with my knee stuffed up. I never wanted to leave when I got home I cried. The camp showed being yourself is enough, it's okay to show it.
