What a way to start back term two at the Summit camp in Trafalgar. 215 year 12 students and teachers from Parkdale S.C embarked on The Summit camp for an intense three day camp. With so many groups and so little time, everyone got straight into activities. A school run activity was the stress management session which a lot of students, teachers and Summit staff felt they needed to attend but all got through the camp.
The big tower was action packed with Leap of faith, Summit Window and Abseil all running at the same time creating a buzz. Ollie was impressive on the Leap of Faith setting the standard on the attitude to take into all activities. Bush Challenge was completed by 8 groups with the winning tribe being tribe 11 with an impressive 15:27. Snowy River was taken out by tribe 9 with a great time of 25:31.
Lachlan was so determined to fly and fly he did across the flying fox and up/down the Abseil wall.
Monster Course was huge and epic with only 13 seconds separating the top three tribes.
*Third was taken out by tribe nine in 28:41
*second went to tribe fifteen in 28:32
*and winning it all was tribe seven in 28:28.
Well done everyone.
Individually, each tribe voted for someone from their tribe who lived out the five keys to a great camp. These people were not only acknowledged but rewarded with a hot lap in The Summit army tank. Congratulations to Sylva, Brenen, Monica, Issei, George, Macey, Arnold, Jordan, Muhammad, Sarah, Max, Adam, Megan, Krystel, Mack and Christine.
Thank you again Parkdale S.C for coming to the summit. We look forward to seeing you again next year.
