On Monday grade six’s from Templeton Primary School came to The Summit. Introductions started the camp and then everyone learnt about the Five Keys: Play All In, Have Fun, Get Comfortable Being Uncomfortable, Make Lots Of Mistakes, and, Don’t Go Home Wondering What If. Out in the park, everyone did two rounds of initiatives. Then we learnt about the goal setting strategy, Target, Stretch, Super Stretch. One round of rotations finished off the afternoon. Activities were Flying Fox, Bush Challenge, Inflatables, Laser Skirmish, Rock Wall, Scavenger Hunt and Cave.
Day Two started with the introduction of Morning Intentions and choosing who you want to be for the day. The morning saw three rotations of activities, with everyone having a focus of making mistakes, and getting outside their comfort zone. After lunch there was one more rotation before The Monster Course! The Monster Course had everyone carrying tyres, throwing balls, pulling sleds, a bit of water a and bit of mud! Before we knew it, the day was done!
Day Three started off with gratitude. Everyone was so focused on not going home wondering what if, that before we knew it, the last two rotations were done, and it was time to come together, announce results and go home!
A big thank you to everyone for making camp so fun!
