Within Australia
It was an absolute pleasure having Within Australia at The Summit for their three day camp from Monday 11 to Wednesday 13 of November. After being introduced to our 5 keys - have fun, play all in, make lots of mistakes, get comfortable being uncomfortable and don’t go home wondering what if - we got straight out into the park where we had the opportunity to get to know each other while playing some fun group games and a rotation of Inflatables. Day 2 was upon us and we had an action packed schedule planned. Starting the day off with The Flying Fox , everyone got the opportunity to step outside their comfort zone, especially Jo, Deb and Jackie, who were extremely brave and faced there fears flying across the park. Next, we headed over to our big tower, where the group got the opportunity to abseil down. Many people coming also enjoyed the view while offering heaps of support to each other; shout out to Megan, who made her way down after two attempts and showing everyone what she truly is capable of. Giant Swing was a favourite with the whole team getting involved pulling our friends up. Thomas lead the way, like he did on every activity, going all the way to the top and swinging to great heights. After lunch it was time for our epic Monster Course, with our team linking up and making their way around the park to complete a series of team challenges. The support and team work was a real highlight throughout the course, with people getting super wet and muddy we finished off with washing off with a hot lap down the water-slide.
Our final day was upon us. Starting the day a little bit tired and sore, we were straight into two more activities: Laser tag and The Rock Wall. Laser was a heap of fun with everyone getting involved enjoying a number of different games. Rock Wall was the last activity on camp, giving everyone the opportunity to push themselves one more time. Congratulations to Celeste who flew up the tyre wall, reaching the top in a very impressive time. At the end of the camp our group voted on 3 people, who, they thought, lived camp by the 5 keys. Our winners where Thomas, Rosie and Megan. Congratulations guys! Massive thank you to every single person who came along and spent an awesome three day with us.
