When life offers you something, be bold and courageous and take the opportunity with everything you got! A moto we think all of you managed to live by from day dot at camp.
Throughout the 3 days, we gave you a variety of 8 different activities as well as a huge muddy obstacle course to stretch your comfort zone and see what potential you held.
Whether you were participating in a sky-high walk across a wobbly bridge, bouncing down a 20m tower, or taking a leap of faith into the abyss, you got your harness on and gave it your best shot.
Other elements of the camp had you working together lifting each other out of pits, chasing mates through inflatable courses, and darting around our 52-acre property in the search for numbered locations. Regardless of what the activity was and the challenge to overcome, we were so stoked to see all individuals playing all in and actively making the choice to better themselves.
We took some time to ask a few of you some of your takeaways and learning lessons from camp and it hit home that you truly understood everything we spoke about across your experience. Hopefully, you all had similar beliefs or thought processes appear as your following classmates;

We hope for you as year 8 students you can continue to expand yourselves, your confidence, courage, and ability to achieve things you never thought you could. A great reminder and evidence to yourself that this is possible was the Monster Course. Muddy, cold, and tired, nothing left in the tank, we told you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that! You’re the best thing in life. But until you start believing in yourself, you ain’t gonna have a life. And so came an incredible energy-fueled, passionate and determined lap 2. Where we all saw you hit harder than life, you came together as a team and changed the possibilities of what you could achieve when you thought you couldn’t. Be proud of yourselves cause we definitely are!

An extra congratulations to Keeley, Matilda, Charlotte, Carla, Alovi, Jack, Darna, and Beth our values winners. For taking a chance on yourselves pushing your boundaries and allowing yourself to get comfortable, being uncomfortable. Your character was admired by your peers and how honorable they chose you as extraordinary individuals.
May this year and many years bring you challenges to overcome and learn from, moments of struggle and success, and ultimately true happiness. Continue to be grateful for all you have and are yet to receive and remember to become someone you have never been, you must do something you have never done.
