Pentland PS Year 5 & 6 Camp Blog
It has been a pleasure to finish term 3 with the grade 5/6s from Pentland P.S. The energy was great from the very moment everyone entered the Lodge on day one. After a few introductions and camp rules, it was time to get out into the park and begin the camp. Each tribe came up with their new tribe’s name and identity:
Better Bananas
Ferocious Rangers
Krazy Koalas
Bush Rangers
Duck Tape
Tribe flags were designed to finish off day one, with some real artists amongst you.
Day two saw each tribe participate in a further 3 activities and perform a tribe chant which each tribe member needed to be involved in. Ferocious Ranger won the chants with 24. Followed by Better Bananas with 21, Krazy Koalas with 17, Duck Tape with 16 and rounding it out were Bush Rangers with 12. Tribes then got to decide what order they would go in the Monster Course.
Here are the results for the Monster Course Improvement Time:
Better Bananas = 7.13
Ferocious Ranger = 8.45
Duck Tape = 11.28
Bush Rangers = 11.38
Krazy Koalas = 11.52 WINNER!!!
The time results of the Bush Challenge:
Krazy Koalas 58.00
Bush Rangers 486.46
Duck Tape 36.48
Ferocious Rangers 30.58
Better Bananas = 30.54 WINNER!!!
There were so many amazing moments from this camp, as such there were so many GMIC given and read out. Well done to those who wrote a GMIC and those who received a GMIC. Keep them as a reminder of you camp experience.
At the end of camp each tribe voted a Values winner. These individuals were acknowledged and presented with a Summit Survivor Medal. Well done to Samuel, Mia, D, Lily, Dion and William.
We hope you have had a wonderful school holiday and good luck for the rest of the year and going into high school for the grade sixes.
