Beaumaris North PS Year 5 Camp Blog

What a great three days it has been with the amazing grade five students and their teachers from Beaumaris North P.S. The weather was good, and the energy was high as everyone got off the bus and settled into camp life. After the formal introduction and house rules it was time to get into rotations and activities. Each tribe by the end of day one had a tribe name. Courageous Coconuts, Group Two Good, Goat Boats, Snorklesarus, A-Team, and Bullets.

The efforts of everyone to give the activity their best and play all in were on display all camp long and acknowledged through G.M.I.C, debriefs, and conversations with your teachers. The tribe song/chants were great. They all had some really musical flair and great choreography.

Here are the full results from each of the tribe's challenges throughout camp.

Bush Challenge:

Group Two Good (GTG) = 34.46

Courageous Coconuts =31.57

Bullets = 27.36

Goat Boats = 26.13

Snorklesaurus = 25.58

A-team = 24.05 WINNER!!!

Monster Course Improvement Time:

A-team = 6.04

Bullets = 6.24

Group Two Good = 6.48

Goat Boats = 7.05

Snorklesarus = 8.26

Courageous Coconuts = 11.41 WINNER!!!

Well done to all tribes.

At the end of camp, each tribe voted for a Values winner. This person was the student who lived by The Summit Camp's Five Keys (Have Fun, Play All In, Make Mistakes, Get Comfortable Being Uncomfortable, and Don’t Go Home Wondering What If). Well done to Elle, Izzy, Nick, Frankie, Kirsten, and Ryder. You were all deserved winners.

Thank you once again to all the students and teachers from Beaumaris North P.S. We cannot wait to see you at The Summit in the near future.
